Happiness is a state of mind that every human being strives to achieve. However, pursuing happiness can be elusive, and many people constantly chase after it.

Initially, happiness is not something that people think about or pursue actively. It is something that comes naturally and spontaneously when we are engaged in activities that we enjoy. Happiness is a byproduct of doing what we love.

However, when people start to focus on happiness as a goal, they may find that it becomes increasingly difficult to achieve. The more they strive for happiness, the more elusive it becomes. This is because happiness cannot be forced, and trying too hard to attain it can actually lead to feelings of frustration, disappointment, and anxiety.

Moreover, the pursuit of happiness can cause people to focus too much on their own needs and desires, leading to a sense of selfishness and narcissism. In their pursuit of happiness, people may forget about the needs of others and become less empathetic and compassionate.

Therefore, the key to happiness is not to make it a goal but to approach it indirectly. Instead of chasing after happiness, people should focus on the activities and relationships that bring them joy and fulfilment. By pursuing activities they are passionate about and building strong relationships with others, people can find happiness as a natural consequence.
